The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle

Do you know the so-called "Waalwege"? These are paths that run along the old watercourses that were once built for the irrigation of the fields in order to channel the water from the mountains into the valley. Today they are mainly popular walking paths for young and old.
Not far from our house runs the Brandiswaalweg, which leads through chestnut groves, vineyards and apple meadows and is particularly popular in spring, as the temperatures are still quite mild. Alternatively, you can also opt for the Marlinger Waalweg, which leads from Lana via the villages of Tscherms and Marling to the municipality of Töll and awaits you with traditional taverns.
